Marc and I are back in Australia (we have been back for a while now) and just wanted to let you know how much we appreciated the work you put into making our holiday a success. We had the best and most relaxing time in Greece. We were surprised by how different all the regions and islands were in looks and culture. Each place we went to was individual from the last. We were also surprised by how familiar some of the scenery was as it looked like parts of Australia.
During our stay in Greece we had no (real) problems with the strikes, pick-pockiters or transport. We were met at all our destinations and all the hotel staff we encountered were lovely and helpful. Anastasia and Theodore of G.O. tours were of particular note. Anastasias passion and respect for history really helped with imagining what the ancient ruins would have been like. She was both entertaining and knowledgeable.
The part of the trip that we organised, to Agia Roumeli and Chora Sfakion also was a success. We are so glad that we took the time and little effort to see these places. Nicko of the Taverna Paralia in Agia Roumeli welcomed us as if we were more than paying customers and also helped us with where to stay at Chora Sfakion. We think that because of Nickos recommendation, once in Chora Sfakion were treated very warmly at that taverna as well.
