The ANEMI HOTEL was created with the aim of providing a 5 star luxury, carefree accommodation in Folegandros, one of the Cyclades Islands, which has managed to preserve its Aegean authenticity untouched by the conventional development of tourism.

The hotel is charming because of its traditional Cycladic architecture. Designed by Alexandros Samaras, it consists of 12 separate two-story buildings, situated on 4 acres of land above the island’s port, Karavostasi. All buildings enjoy sea view and their dazzling white forms and stone walls are surrounded by beautiful gardens, full of flowers and other plants, in harmony with the natural environment and climate of the island.

Together, all these aspects idyllically recreate the feeling of frugality and simplicity; so characteristic of the Cycladic Islands. However, what is pleasantly surprising about the ANEMI HOTEL is that everything is designed to allow its guests enjoy modern conveniences and aesthetic features to meet the demands even of those with the highest expectations.

TENNIS COURT A tennis court with tartan floor is available to our guests and is floodlit to allow them play after dark. Rackets (for adults and children) are provided, as well as balls for those who have not brought their own equipment to the island. In the same area our guests can also play basketball and football.

FITNESS CENTER Small but functional, the ANEMI FITNESS CENTER provides what is necessary for someone who likes to maintain a fitness schedule while on holiday(treadmill & running machines, recumbent bikes, elliptical, multi-gym, multi purpose bench and dumbells for many uses).

PLAYGROUND Our playground designed to provide our guests’ children with real fun was built in accordance with strict European safety specifications (EN 1176 TÜV). Indoor playroom for our little friends.

OPEN AIR CINEMA FOR KIDS When we have quite a lot of young guests our summer open air cinema starts operating, showing films that provide fun and joy to children. (Relevant information is provided at reception)

BABY & CHILD CARE SERVICES Upon prior arrangement, we can organize child care facilities for infants and children (this service is not included in the price of the room).

EVENTS Live music evenings are held throughout the summer.

AQUA AEROBICS / YOGA / PILATES  Three major options of physical exercise programs are at our guests’ disposal for this year’s summer, to choose what fits them most. Yoga, Pilates and Aqua aerobics. These programs are suitable for everyone regardless of their physical condition. Further, it is not required to have former experience of the selected practising method. We shall also note, that practice takes place outdoors, in the pure sea air and with eyes on the light blue sparkling Aegean sea – this alone makes practising even more revitalising.

Aqua aerobics is aerobic exercise in water -mainly in pools- using the simplest means. It is not required for someone to know swimming. The Aqua aerobics program is always accompanied by music and offers simultaneously the joy of dance. The effort tension has several levels, from low to high.

The Yoga program aims to offer flexibility, good balance and strengthening of joints and muscles, simultaneously providing the wonderful relaxation for which Yoga is renowned. The program includes exercises selected out of three Yoga fields: Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Iyengar Yoga

Pilates method starts with the control of the centre of the body, which is considered to be the abdomen. From there its beneficial effects extend to general body alignment, motion increase, flexibility enhancement, balance control, achievement of better bone mineral density and healthier joints. The proposed Pilates program includes only exercises without instruments.

The three fitness programs of ANEMI HOTEL shall begin on 01.07.2015 to 1.09.2015. The hotel provides yoga mats to the participants. For the programmes timetable, as well as for participation inquiries please ask the reception upon your arrival to ANEMI HOTEL.

They have two beds or a double king size bed as well as a sofa which can be used as a bed. With advance notice, a fourth bed can be added. All Junior Suites are ideal for families with one or two children. They are recommended for couples who wish to have even more free space at their disposal. The dining and sitting rooms can be closed off from the rest of the space with a sliding door. All bathrooms in the Junior Suites have a bathtub.

The FAMILY SUITES are ideal for families or large groups. Their total surface is 70 sq.m. on two levels. On the upper level there are two single beds or a king size bed and a bathroom with shower. The lower level can accommodate up to four people, two people in single beds or a king size bed and the other two people on a sofa bed whereas upon prior arrangement an additional single bed can be offered. This level has its own bathroom with bathtub, a sitting room and a dining room. All FAMILY POOL SUITES have a private pool for total relaxation with a splendid view of the sea. They also provide a stand for Bose sounddock for iPod and iPhone as well as Nespresso coffee machine.
