This carefully crafted package is designed with solo travelers in mind and offers a mixture of planned activities around Athens with ample time to carve your own adventure, as you are undoubtedly used to!

Using Athens as your hub, you will be not only be exploring the historical metropolis itself, but also moving in all directions with tours meant to give you as wide an experience of Greece as possible. A cruise around the Saronic Gulf will take you to the diverse islands of Aegina, Poros and Hydra adding an islandic touch to your vacation. In Cape Sounion you will visit the famous Temple of Poseidon sitting on the southeast edge of the Athenian peninsula. On the opposite side, you will visit the Oracle of Delphi, a place of immense historical and religious importance during antiquity. A bit further north, the valley of Meteora, you will visit the Byzantine Monasteries which are almost inaccessible as they stand on top of gigantic rock pillars that rise at incredible heights from the earth. Finally in Peloponnese, you'll take a trip to the archaeological site of Mycenae and the picturesque town of Nafplion, two destinations highlighting different eras of Greece.

  • Day 1 - Arrival in Athens
    As soon as you reach Greece, our representative will be there to greet you at the airport and welcome you to Athens! Your adventure has just begun! Your driver will take you to your hotel where you will be able to freshen up and hit the city for a first impression of a metropolis that effortlessly combines modern luxuries with a cornucopia of monuments from the classical age.

  • Day 2 - Athens Half Day Sightseeing Tour
    For your first full day in Athens we have an essential experience planned; a carefully planned half-day city tour. Knowing fully well how overwhelming it can be to try and see every important historical site in the city, we decided to craft a plan for you! In a few short hours you will see all the highlights of Athens, like the Panathenaic Stadium where the first modern Olympic Games took place, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the National Library, Hadrian’s Arch, and of course the Acropolis and its modern Museum among many others! Soak up all the history of Greece in one go so you can experience the city your own way in the days to come!

  • Day 3 - Saronic Gulf Cruise
    No trip to Athens can ever be complete without visiting a Mediterranean island or two...or three! Your next adventure will take place in the sea and more specifically the Saronic Gulf where you will take a full day cruise with stops to the island of Aegina, Poros and Hydra! In Aegina you can find a touch of ancient Greece with the marvellous Temple of Aphaia being one of the most well-preserved ones in the country. Poros will serve as a introduction to the relaxed islandic way of life, a quintessentially Greek experience which might at times seem absent in the hustle and bustle of Athens. Last but certainly not least, Hydra will show you a different side of Greece; an island for artists, Hydra is brimming with elegant galleries not to mention incredible natural scenery!

  • Day 4 -  Cape Sounion Sunset tour
    In the morning you are free to explore the city as you wish. Sit in a cafe overlooking the city, get lost in the alleys of Plaka, hit the flee market near Monastiraki or visit one of the many museums sprinkled around Athens. However, once afternoon approaches, we have yet another magnificent tour planned for you! Our collaborator will pick you up and you will head south, to the tip of the Athenian peninsula, through the coastal road that offers stunning views of the sea. At the end of the road you will reach Cape Sounion and the Temple of Poseidon. Due to its strategical position on a hill, the Temple served, not only as a place of worship, but also as an observatory during antiquity. Nowadays, you won't find yourself looking for invaders approaching Athens, but you will marvel at the deep blue sea dotted with sailboats and acquiring a golden hue as the sun dips in the Aegean Sea instead.

  • Day 5 -  Delphi & Meteora tour
    Just like any true Athenian, sooner or later you will need a break from the city, majestic as it can be. That's why the next two days will be spent exploring the Greek mainland with a tour to Delphi and Meteora. Early in the morning our representative will pick you up and you will be transported to Delphi through the fertile plains of Boetia. Once there, you will visit the archeological site that once housed the great oracle which Greek generals consulted before every war campaign. The oracle's chambers deep in the Temple of Apollo may be the centerpiece of the site, but in the climb up you will find treasuries from different city-states, an amphitheater overlooking the chaotic valley below, a stadium in the which games in honor of the oracle were held among many others. The nearby museum will shed more light in the history of the region through artefacts that have been excavated nearby.

  • Day 6 - Visit the Meteora Monasteries
    After a fulfilling breakfast you will depart from Delphi and head north, to the valley of Meteora. A truly spectacular sight, Meteora offers an arresting feeling as the serene valley is filled with giant rock pillars springing up from the ground. As if this testament to the power of nature wasn't enough to astound you, human perseverance is here to add another layer to the surreal image. On top of these pillars, seemingly suspended in the air, stand impressive Byzantine Monasteries, built during the Middle Ages to keep the monks safe from invaders. Meteora can evoke a numinous feeling in every visitor and it is a serious contender for the highlight of your entire trip. After you visit a few of the monasteries we will make our way back to Athens.

  • Day 7 -  A Peloponnesian Journey
    Using Athens as your base you've so far explored in every direction but one. It's time to head south of Athens and take a day trip in Peloponnese. You'll cross the Corinth Canal and be driven through beautiful landscapes to the Bronze Age settlement of Mycenae. An important city-state of classical Greece, today the archaeological site of Mycenae houses the Tomb of King Agamemnon as well as various other remains of a once-great civilization. Afterwards, we will head to Nafplion, a charming Peloponnesian town that is the preferred weekend getaway spot for many Greeks. Picturesque alleys lead to beautiful squares and the entire town is an amalgamation of Greece and Italy, as the Venetians left an indelible mark on Nafplion. Having some gelato on the waterfront with a view of the fortress of Bourtzi is highly recommended!

  • Day 8 -  An Athenian Exploration
    For your last full day in Athens we have something very special planned...nothing. As a solo adventurer you are used to carving your own path so today Athens is your oyster. Do all those things you have been mentally noting you should do before you leave. Stroll through the National Gardens, grab an espresso in Kolonaki, grab lunch in a quaint bistro, pick up those souvenirs for your friends back home in Ermou street and explore the bars in the center, where signature cocktails are abound.

  • Day 9 - Departure from Athens
    Pack your memories of an empowering adventure in Greece and meet our assistant at the lobby of your hotel. You will be transferred to the Athens International Airport for your flight back home. We hope to se you again soon!

  • For your visit to Meteora Monasteries, appropriate clothing is required. Ladies are kindly required to wear long skirts (below the knees) and gentlemen to wear trousers. In any case, at the entrance of the monasteries, ladies will find long skirts that can be wearing on top of their clothing - during the visit - which will be returned upon departure.
