Begin your adventure in Athens, a modern, chaotic metropolis which combines all the contemporary comforts with a rich history that is irrevocably tied to antiquity. While you explore the former on your own, a half day sightseeing tour will help guide you through the latter. Before you set sail for the idyllic island of Sifnos, we have one more surprise for you! A 2 day tour of Delphi and Meteora that is carefully designed to serve as a concise way to experience Central Greece. First you will visit the Oracle in Delphi, whose prophecies led ancient Greeks to numerous war campaigns and then stand in awe in front of the geological wonder of Meteora, before you come to the stupefying realization that ageless Byzantine monasteries lay on top of the imposing rock pillars that rise from the valley below!

  • Day 1 – Arrival in Athens
    On arrival you will meet with our assistant at the airport and then transferred to your selected hotel by your personal driver. Use your first night in Greece to embark upon a culinary journey filled with local delicacies, plenty of wine and a view of the stunning Acropolis!

  • Day 2 – Athens Half Day Sightseeing Tour
    Today you will join a carefully planned itinerary that includes visits to some of the most prominent sites in the city, covering the history of Greece throughout the centuries. The Morning Athens Sightseeing Tour will take you to the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, the Academy of Athens and the Greek Parliament among others. Of course, no tour of Athens is complete without climbing up to the Acropolis and visiting the new Acropolis Museum, which is where this cornucopia of culture and history will culminate!

  • Day 3 – Visit Delphi
    In the morning our collaborator will pick you up and you will begin your journey through the fertile plains of Beotia, crossing the town of Thebes, Levadia and the picturesque Arachova before arriving in Delphi. Sitting on the foot of Mount Parnassus, the 'navel of the ancient world', earned the nickname due to its significance during antiquity. Visit the archaeological site of the Oracle, see the treasury of the Athenians, the Stadium where the Pythian Games were held and marvel on the chaotic view from the edge of the ancient Theater! Once the tour concludes, you will depart for Kalambaka, passing through picturesque villages of Central Greece along the way.

  • Day 4 – Visit Meteora
    From the town of Kalambaka you will launch an expedition to Meteora, where the stupefying sight of vast, rock pillars rising up from the valley below is sure to leave you speechless. Man’s design completes this testament to the wonders of nature, as on top of the pillars, stand Byzantine Monasteries, of immeasurable historical and religious importance. After you’ve visited some of them you will make your way back via Trikala, Lamia and Thermopylae, where a short stop to see Leonidas' Monument across the road is in order, and finally arrive in Athens early in the evening.

  • Day 5 – Travel to Sifnos
    In the morning, you have a transfer from your hotel to the port to hop on the ferry to Sifnos for a taste of the Aegean life! Once you reach Sifnos, our local collaborator will escort you to your hotel and after you’ve taken a load off you will be ready to start exploring the main town of Apollonia.

  • Days 6 & 7 – Traverse Sifnos
    Two days at your disposal to explore as much of Sifnos as you possibly can! Craft your own itinerary depending on what you want to see on the island. Hiking trails lead from Apollonia to nearby monasteries and villages. The island of Sifnos has been inhabited for 6 millennia so history can be found in every nook and cranny! The village of Kastro with its Citadel is a prime example and nearby you will also find the hauntingly beautiful Church of the Seven Martyrs. As for swimming, plenty of beaches can be found along the Sifnian coastline, with Cheronissos, Faros, Fykiada and Chirssopigi being among the most popular! Alternatively, you could opt to take a private Architectural Tour of Sifnos!

  • Day 8 – Return to Athens
    After breakfast, you have a transfer from your hotel to the port to return to Athens. Upon arrival you will meet our assistant at the port and be driven to your hotel. Since it is your last night in Greece, make sure to pick up some souvenirs for your friends in Ermou Street or the Monastiraki market!

    After a fulfilling breakfast, our assistant will meet you at the lobby of your hotel and transfer you to the airport in order to board your flight back home.
